When we last saw Bryan Danielson in AEW, he had passed out after a brutal match against Daniel Garcia. He gets his chance for revenge next week in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls match, and tonight intends to address his opponent here tonight.
Bryan Danielson Has Some Choice Words For Daniel Garcia
The American Dragon would hit the ring, and would be asked about his health – and about Garica calling himself a dragon slayer. Danielson said that after 23 years in the ring, his body will never truly be 100% – but nothing makes him feel 100% alive like being in the ring. He will never willfully start wrestling – and someone will need to end his career, and Garica won’t be able to do this on Wednesday.
Garica hit the ring and said that Danielson is his hero, but he recognizes that his hero – is coming up with excuses. He’d say it hurts fans like Garcia to be in the speculation loop of their hero retiring. Therefore, he’s going to stop the hurt – and retire Danielson this Wednesday. After that, Danielson will call him the World’s Greatest Technical Sports Entertainer.
Danielson would be fine with being retired, but is sick of this Sports Entertainment crap. He’s been watching Garcia for years, and knows his potential. Garcia was left with something to ponder – does he truly want to be a sports entertainer, or does he want to be a wrestler? He can think about that when Danielson is stomping his head in.
Dante Martin Gets Taken Out By Tay Melo
After tying the knot this past weekend, it’s time for Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo to get back to work. Tonight, they are putting the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships on the line against Dante Martin & Skye Blue. A more understated AEW couple, Martin & Blue will be keen to take out two of the most obnoxious members of the AEW roster, and claim some gold.
Martin & Blue would kick things off before the bell, with Martin taking Guevara down with a double leg takedown. Guevara would block a second takedown with a knee strike, before Martin would be stopped by a tag to Melo. Blue would hit the ring with a crossbody, before trading slaps with Melo and ending up in a slick leg submission moved into a neck crank – only for Blue to move into a pinfall.
Step up knee strikes would follow, before kicking Melo in the side of the face. Guevara grabbed the ankle of Blue as a distraction, allowing Melo to hit the pump kick. They’d kiss in the middle of Melo beating down Blue, which didn’t count as a tag. Martin would get the tag, and used Melo as a launch pad for a Destroyer – getting a near fall.
Blue would get the tag as Melo hit a big DDT on Martin – before she’d take down Guevara. TayKO would follow, and the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships would not change hands tonight.
Parker Boudreaux Makes An Impact In His TV Debut
Parker Boudreaux is the monster of the Trustbusters, and tonight will show exactly why. Sonny Kiss has finally found a way back onto TV, but it could end up being one of the shortest matches in AEW history – if Boudreaux has his way. The former Harland was recruited by Ari Daivari, and is his ace in the hole.
Kiss would get run down to begin this match, before finding an opening in the corner for the back handspring. Chokeslam would follow, before a backdrop chokeslam combo for the nearly effortless victory. He’ll enter the trios tournament with Slim J & Ari Daivari – and their first match comes next Friday against Best Friends on AEW Rampage.
