Right now, AEW has a few glaring issues. Several top stars being injured has led to some stagnant TV, and their roster is so bloated that some names are finding it hard to find TV time, even with the likes of CM Punk on the shelf. Two names that often come up are former WWE stars, Miro & Andrade El Idolo – and Andrade could be starting to show some signs of frustration in AEW.
Are The Likes Of Miro & Andrade El Idolo Wasted In AEW?
An easy way to see what a wrestler might truly be thinking comes in which tweets they like from fans. Andrade El Idolo would like a tweet asking Tony Khan why Andrade & Miro were signed – if they aren’t going to be used on TV. While Tony Khan didn’t respond to this tweet directly, like he does with some fans – it does raise a good point.
Miro is a less solid case, as he had a top run as TNT Champion, before taking time off to recovery some injuries. Things have been slower since his return, but an angle with House of Black is set to be paid off any day now. Miro also just signed a new AEW contract in 2021, usually not a sign that you want to leave a company.
Andrade Have Not Been Given Much To Work With In AEW
However, since being signed – Andrade El Idolo has had a hard time standing out in AEW. His most notable angle was being linked to the failed Hardy Family Office faction – which Andrade bought out from Hardy before shutting it down. He’s not been given major title shots, spots in tournaments, or really much to do on TV.
Add in his wife Charlotte Flair being in WWE – and it’s likely that when his current contract is up, he could be looking to head back to WWE. With Triple H now in charge of creative in WWE, it’s become a much more attractive option to a former NXT Champion like Andrade.
As of the time of writing, Andrade is set to appear on AEW Dynamite. He will team with La Faccion Ingobernable partner RUSH in a Tornado Tag Team Match against The Lucha Bros.
