In the premiere episode of Archetypes, the Duchess of Sussex sat down with her friend Serena Williams for a private discussion about ambition. However, Prince Harry stopped by first to greet the tennis legend. “Hi!” Meghan exclaims. “You wanna come say hi? Look who just popped in.” Then Meghan and Serena chuckle as they greet Prince Harry with fake British accents.
“I like what you’ve done with your hair! That’s a great vibe,” Harry informs Serena. She answers, “Thank you!” “Good to see you too, as always. I miss you guys!” Prince Harry declares, “Well, come and see us!” “Have fun,” Prince Harry urges the women as they take off. Meghan responds, “Thanks, my love,” using a cute moniker for her spouse.
Meghan Markle Forms a British Accent as Prince Harry Crashes Her First Podcast Episode
In a special holiday podcast that was broadcast in 2020, the couple’s son, Archie Harrison, stole the mic. Meghan, 41, and Prince Harry, 37, are accustomed to surprise guests. Prince Harry tells Archie, “You can speak into it,” “Archie, is it fun?” Archie asks. “Fun?” in response to Meghan’s statement. Archie even addressed the audience with a special speech, assisted by his parents. “
After me. Ready? Happy…” Archie responds with “Happy,” which Harry responds with. Meghan and Harry then add, “New…” Archie adds the final word, “New Year,” and his parents applaud as he giggles. The first podcast episode also included Meghan and Serena discussing how ambition is perceived as a “dirty, dirty word when it comes to women,” as the Duchess of Sussex puts it. Prince Harry’s presence was a humorous point in the broadcast. “I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ‘ambitious’ until I started dating my now husband,” Meghan claims.
“And um, apparently ambition is, uh… a terrible, terrible thing, for a woman that is — according to some. So, since I’ve felt the negativity behind it, it’s really hard to un-feel it. I can’t unsee it, either, in the millions of girls and women who make themselves smaller — so much smaller — on a regular basis.”
During the 2019 royal visit to Africa, Meghan also related a horrific tale about a fire that started in Archie’s crib. Archie was prepared to retire for his nap, but his nanny, Lauren, decided to take him downstairs with her while she went shopping. Unfortunately, this was just as Archie’s room heater started to burn.
Meghan remarked, “He was supposed to be sleeping in there.” They then, “had to leave him and go do another official engagement.” According to the Duchess of Sussex, who gave birth to daughter Lilibet Diana in June 2021. Serena answered, “I couldn’t have done that. I would have said, ‘Uh-uh.’ “
