Tom Lawlor dropped his first two matches in the G1 Climax, but has a chance to still finish with a respectable eight points. However tonight, he needs to figure out how to cut Bad Luck Fale down to size if he wants to move to four points. Fale will just seek to throw his weight around like always, which has already gotten him to four points.
Bad Luck Fale Tries To Bury Tom Lawlor
Tom Lawlor would look to take his upper jorts off, before Fale ran him down with a lariat. Fale would look for the tornado choke, but was sent out of the floor. Lawlor was thrown into the barricade, before Fale trapped him under two barricades. Without Royce Isaacs to help, Lawlow would have been done early.
Back in the ring, Lawlor would strike and move, nailing leg kicks on Fale before being cut in half with a massive spear. Grenade would be blocked into the ankle lock, but Fale got the ropes. Another kick to the leg landed, before Lawlor crawled under the ring to apply an ankle lock on a confused Fale, before choking Fale with his jorts.
Fale took a kick to the back in the ring, and Lawlor was starting to feel confident. A spinning wheel kick to the neck would follow, and Nasty Knee On The Brain was the plan. Lawlor would try and take Fale down to the mat with a Rear Naked Choke, before moving into a double arm choke. Fale would almost be choking himself – but Nasty Knee On The Brain wouldn’t follow.
Tom Lawlor Manages To Knock Fale Out
Fale would hit the Samoan Drop, but Lawlor popped back up to his feet and avoided The Grenade – only to be run down by a lariat. Lawlor would be hit with The Grenade, but would be able to kick out. Bad Luck Fall would be attempted, but Lawlor applied the choke again.
Lawlor was driven into the corner, but would move into a front choke and fall into a DDT. Another choke would be applied, before the PK to the back of the knee to take out the base of Fale. Nasty Knee to the Face would follow, but Fale kicked out. The Nasty Knee on the Brain is a KO shot, and even someone like Fale was not getting up.
Lawlor remains in the running for A-Block, and Fale could be eliminated depending on the result of the main event. Lawor still needs to wrestle Jeff Cobb & Kazuchika Okada – and neither of those will be easy matches. Can Tom Lawlor defy the odds and make the finals?
