The couple have managed to defy the odds by forging a life of independence from the Royal family, thus raising two children in the process away from the media spotlight.
While they are often criticised for riding off the coattails of the Royal family that has kept them relevant somewhat, it appears that their relationship is capable of standing on its own.
And a renewal of vows would top that off. A source confirmed the following: “[They are] proud of everything they’ve got through together, [the vows would be a] beautiful way to underline that.”
If those comments are taken to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, it would put an end to any doubt that Harry does not see his future back in the UK anytime soon.
After all, having spent the last two years of his life in the States, it would have been enough for him to know whether he foresaw a future there.
But by renewing his vows in the country that has now become his home, it would show the whole world that Harry and Meghan are here to stay.
Secondly, this is in stark contrast to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage. They have come under increasing scrutiny ever since the ‘PrinceofPegging’ scandal broke.
Speculation had emerged that a member of the Royal family had engaged in extra-marital affairs. And the initial rumours suggested that this perhaps could have been William.
While there is no conclusive evidence to show if those claims had any merit, it once again does not look very positive, especially in light of reports that William had cheated on Kate with Rose Hanbury.
