The rumors are out there, Johnny Depp has found himself a new girlfriend. Let’s hope that this time she’s more reasonable than Amber Heard. Rumors state that the actor is dating one of his lawyers who defended him in his UK libel trial against the Sun.
According to newsletters, the UK lawyer, Joelle Rich, comes out fresh from a divorce that’s not even finalized yet. She had a marriage, however, split from her husband recently and filed for divorce.
Johnny Depp Is Dating One Of His Lawsuit Lawyers
As soon as the jury reached the verdict and put an end to the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, the first rumors appeared. Rumors that the actor might be dating his lawyer Camille Vazquez. However, that turned out to be false news. Camille denied the claims and attended one of Johnny Depp’s music gigs together with her boyfriend.
“I care very deeply about my clients, and we have obviously become close.” – Camille told People Magazine after the rumors. “But when I say ‘we,’ I mean the entire team, and of course that includes Johnny.”
Camille revealed that she had been friends with the actor for more than four years. Adding that the assumptions about her dating him are sexist and ‘unfortunate’.
“It’s also an unethical charge, and it’s sexist.” – the lawyer told People magazine. “It’s unfortunate, and it’s disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.”
Joelle Rich is not one of Johnny Depp’s lawyers that defended him in the defamation trial, however, she was present in the courtroom almost on each of the hearings.
Rumors state that even though her professional help was not needed in the courtroom, she was there to support the Pirates from the Caribbean actor.
“There was no professional obligation for her being there.” – an anonymous source close to the actor told Us Weekly magazine. He added that the lawyer had been meeting with Johnny Depp secretly in hotels during the trial, as that was an early stage of their romance.
At the moment there is no official statement from both Johnny Depp and Joelle Rich.
During the trial, Johnny Depp received support from other sounding names as well. For example, his ex, Kate Moss, joined the courtroom on several occasions and she made an appearance as a witness.
Joelle Rich was present during the whole six weeks of the defamation trial and most often left the court together with Johnny Depp in his SUV. The courtroom cameras also spotted Johnny Depp putting his hand around Joelle on one occasion, impersonating a caring gesture.
Now, several months after the trial, an inside source confirms the romance to Us Weekly and tells that the duo is ‘madly in love’.
