The State of California charged the actress with worker’s compensation insurance fraud. The actress hired her legal team to represent her in the case starting this Wednesday the 7th of September in Los Angeles.
California’s Department of Justice is accusing the actress of improper collection of over $100 000 dollars in disability benefits. The investigation by the department led to the revealing of two counts of workers’ comp insurance fraud cases. The Department of Justice also claims that this scheme of fraud lasts for more than 2 years. Ever since Q’orianka Kilcher injured her neck while filming “Dora and the Lost City Of God”.
The Department of Justice noticed the irregularities recently. While the actress received money from benefits, she was actively filming an episode of the 2019 series “Yellowstone”. The officials found this strange and decided to investigate the matter thoroughly. According to them, Kilcher is not eligible to receive disability benefits since she is able to resume her work at the same pace as before the accident.
Recent reports state that a source very close to Q’orianka Kilcher revealed that she has done nothing wrong. She indeed has a disability of 10% after the accident where she injured her neck. And she will have this ‘condition’ for the rest of her life.
Kilcher’s legal team also firmly defends this statement. Now when she faces these charges, her legal team claims that she is completely innocent. Her lawyers announced that they will defend her no matter what. The actress’s condition is well documented and proved to be such, so her legal team is sure that there is nothing that she needs to worry about.
