The NYPD is still searching for the boyfriend of a Brooklyn woman who was found dismembered in two suitcases on September 21, 2022. Police believe the woman to be 21-year-old Daisa Johnson who lived in the Cypress Hill apartment and had an abusive relationship with the prime suspect.
NYPD Still Searching For the Boyfriend of Brooklyn Woman Found Dismembered in Suitcases
Authorities were informed after neighbors called for a wellness check. They hadn’t seen the woman in a couple of days and an odor was emanating from her apartment. While they went to the complex’s security guard some time prior, the boyfriend stopped him from entering the unit.
The security guard would contact the NYPD and inform them that not only was something amiss but the boyfriend and possible male conspirator had snuck out of the apartment. When he returned to check the unit, he found a bloody meat clever as well as bloody bags in the bathroom.
While it was pretty obvious what happened in that sixth floor apartment unit, authorities had to wait ten hours for a search warrant before inspecting the suitcases.
Daisa Johnson reportedly had a troubling relationship with her boyfriend and had a protection order against him which ended at the end of September 2022. Stephanie Harris, a friend of Johnson told the Daily News the following about the boyfriend:
“He broke her ribs, her legs, a couple month. She came back, she was on crutches. And he broke her apartment down, broke the TVs in her apartment. And I cried to her, like ‘Listen, I don’t want to see you on the news.’”
Currently, the Medical Examiner’s Office is trying to determine a definite cause of death.
