The NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal did not ‘judge’ the Marron 5 singer Adam Levine in a recent interview he had with TMZ sports. Instead, he claims that his experience with the singer was always positive. The basketball player claims that Adam Levine will get over anything that may be struggling with at the moment.
Both Shaq and Adam Levine will perform at the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s annual fundraising gala the upcoming weekend in Las Vegas.
Shaquille O’Neal Supports Disgraced Adam Levine Amidst Cheating Backlash
“Adam is a personal friend of mine, he’s always been a great guy, he’s coming out to help kids this weekend – that’s as solid as you can get.” – Shaquille O’Neal says in the online video interview for TMZ Sports. “It’s not my job to say ‘you did this, you did that’, as far as I’m concerned, he’s coming to help kids out this weekend and he’s a good man in my book. I’m sure he’ll overcome this. Anyone who helps out kids in need, I’m with them.”
However, the NBA star revealed that he is somewhat of a similar character to Adam Levine. In a recent episode of his podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, he confessed to cheating. He said that at one point in his life, he was a serial cheater.
“I’m going to step down from this conversation. I was a serial cheater.” – Shaq confessed. “It would be crazy and blasphemous for me to get up here and say, ‘Boom, boom, bam.’ I can’t do that. But, I know these guys personally. I know they’re going through a lot because I went through a lot.”
Shaquille O’Neal’s comments on the situation come after several models came forward and confessed that Adam Levine had been sending them flirty messages. One of them, Sumner Stroh claimed that she even went on a date with him once and they got physical. The Instagram model, Sumner showed screenshots of her alleged conversation with the singer. There we could see how he asks for ‘permission’ to name his unborn child Sumner, after her.
“OK serious question.” – Adam Levine wrote to Stroh Sumner. “I’m having another baby and if it’s boy I really wanna name it Sumner. You OK with that? DEAD serious.”
After other models came forward with the allegations as well, the situation got out of Adam’s hands quickly. So he had one option left only. If nothing else can get him out of the situation, he should go public about the accusations and address his fans directly.
“A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair,evertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.” – the singer wrote on his Instagram story. “In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family. However, my wife and my family are all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. But, I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together.” – he finished his address.
