King Charles III told his son, ‘told’ Prince Harry not to come to the Balmoral Castle with Meghan Markle as the royal family rushed down to be with the dying Queen. On Thursday, September 8, 2022, the palace announced that the Queen had been placed “medical supervision.” On hearing this, members of the royal family rushed to Scotland to spend time with her during her final moments.
A source told The Sun that, “Charles told Harry that it wasn’t right or appropriate for Meghan to be in Balmoral at such a deeply sad time. It was pointed out to him that Kate [Middleton] was not going and that the numbers really should be limited to the very closest family.”
King Charles Banned Meghan Markle Form Visiting Balmoral Castle
The source told the outlet that Prince Charles, who is now the King “made it very, very clear Meghan would not be welcome.” As we previously reported, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were originally planning to travel together to see his grandmother. Not long after, it was reported that Harry would be traveling alone. The Duke of Sussex returned to Windsor the next day and was spotted arriving at Frogmore Cottage to reunite with Meghan. He was reportedly look sad.
Also, the Duke was reportedly refused a seat on the RAF plane that took the other royals to Balmoral. Only seven passengers were on board, Prince William, Prince Andrew, Edward and his wife, Sophie, and three aides. This means there were 12 empty seats on the Dassault Falcon jet. They had all travelled from their homes near Windsor Castle, so they certainly would have passed close to Frogmore Cottage.
Prince Harry didn’t leave the Balmoral Castle with other royals, indicating that the bitter rift within the royal family continues even after the Monarch’s death. They say the death of an important person can strengthen a family’s bond, but it seems this doesn’t work when it comes to the royals.
