In Florida, a U.S District Judge has sentenced a Jacksonville man to 18 years and 8 months for robbing two “adult game rooms” and brandishing a gun in furtherance of a violent crime. Christopher Dozier (41) pleaded guilty in early February 2022 but sentencing is only taking place now.
Florida Man Sentenced to Almost 19 Years for 2019 Armed Robberies in Jacksonville
Between May and June 2019, Dozier hit two game rooms. On May 24, 2019 he robbed one establishment while armed with a pistol. During this robbery, he also struck an employee and escaped with a getaway driver.
The stolen goods from this robbery were found. His driver, Brittany Cooper, was given 42 months for aiding and abetting.
Almost a month later on June 19, Dozier managed to escape with $1,877. He was eventually arrested for another offense in Quincy, Massachusetts after Florida became too hot for him.
It was never mentioned if Christopher Dozier is the same Dozier who plead guilty to murder in Newport News, Virginia in September 1996. Prior to that, police arrested that Dozier in Jacksonville while speeding and trying to avoid authorities.
That same Christopher Dozier also attacked a store clerk with a hatchet, attacked four drivers, and stole a car as he moved between Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina.
