In Orlando, Florida, a woman was arrested on September 26, 2022 for stabbing and killing her sister over flirting with her long-distance boyfriend in the game Valorant. Fatiha Marzan (21) played the game with her 20-year-old sister Sayma and her boyfriend of five years.
Florida Woman Arrested After Stabbing Younger Sister to Death for Talking with Long-Distance BF in ‘Valorant’
Things took a turn when Sayma and Fatiha’s boyfriend began playfully flirting via the in-game chat. Obviously, the older Marzan wasn’t keen on this at all. Eventually, he would admit that he liked her. At 4:30 AM on September 26, Fatiha stabbed Sayma several times in the heart.
Many hours passed before Fatiha Marzan called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 7:42 PM saying that she believed Sayma was dead after she stabbed her. Emergency services pronounced the 20-year-old dead 20 minutes after they arrived at the east Orlando residence.
While being investigated by detectives, Marzan said that she bought the dagger used in the murder on Amazon weeks ago. She also admitted to waiting to stab her younger sister at a time when the household was asleep, according to records obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Fatiha Marzan was charged with first-degree murder with a weapon and is currently being held in the Orange County Jail without bond.
