A Georgia woman was charged with attacking her ex-boyfriend with a meat cleaver during a dispute. On October 2, 2022, Cristal Hernandez (28) and her 31-year-old ex got into an argument in the garage of her residence.
It’s unknown what the argument was about but it escalated into her attacking him with the meat cleaver.

Suffering some serious injuries, the ex was able to escape from Hernandez and drove himself to a shopping center parking lot where he called a family member. Moments later, the police and Hall County Fire Rescue showed up and got him to a hospital for medical treatment.
It’s expected that the victim will make a recovery. Hall County deputies were able to track down Cristal Hernandez who was still at her house, according to the Gainesville Times.
She was arrested on October 3 and charged with aggravated assault. Hernandez’s bond was set at $27,700 and she is scheduled in court on October 17, 2022.
Given the sparse details around this incident, authorities are still looking into what precipitated the meat cleaver attack. The investigation could change the levied charges if anything of note is found.
