King Charles III could remove Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s royal titles due to Prince Andrew.
King Charles III Could Remove Princess Beatrice And Eugenie’s Royal Titles Because Of Disgraced Prince Andrew
That is according to royal expert Hilary Fordwich. This claim was made in reference to Andrew’s sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Guiffre.
And as part of that process, the Duke of York was heavily criticised for his appearances with Jeffrey Epstein. One photograph showed them pictured together in New York Central Park, while another showed Andrew allegedly with Ghislaine Maxwell and Virgina.
While the whole saga was ultimately settled outside of court, the fact of the matter is that this did damage Andrew’s reputation and his family by way of extension.
In her comments, Hilary said: “Their father’s conduct has had rather an adverse and actually disastrous impact on their royal futures.
“The Princesses are most likely to become Lady Beatrice and Lady Eugenie since their father, Prince Andrew’s, sexual assault scandal has purportedly poured ruin on their chances of becoming working royals.”
Nevertheless, there is an equal argument that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should have their royal titles removed.
We have already seen online petitions being started in response due to the couple’s conduct prior to Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, coupled with Meghan’s feature in ‘The Cut’ did divide public opinion.
The former interview coincided with the deterioration of Prince Philip’s health, while the latter fell on the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. But in any event, any decisions relating to titles has to be something that King Charles III considers.
Hilary’s following comments confirmed as much: “Retaining their titles is highly dubious because the decision, regarding their titles, is to be made by and with the new reign of their uncle, King Charles III.”
It will be fascinating to see how King Charles deals with certain members in the royals moving forward. Time will tell. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
