On November 19, 2022, a big RCMP operation captured four in relation to a number of drug and weapons charges in Thompson, Manitoba. The main suspect arrested was Michael Jonathan Nicholas (33) who opened up a criminal treasure trove.

Authorities watched Nicholas for some time before moving on a search warrant for his residence. There they arrested Nicolas and a 29-year-old woman who was with him. Inside, authorities arrested a 56-year-old and a 49-year-old woman believed to either work for or with Nicholas.
The RCMP searched the suspect and turned up 172 grams of coke, over $16,000 in cash, body armor, and a loaded pistol. A search of the residence resulted in the authorities seizing ammo, more body armor, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and four modified shotguns.
Michael Jonathan Nicholas was charged with multiple drug and firearms offenses following his November 21 court appearance. His female associates were released and also face drug and weapons charges. They are scheduled for a January 20, 2023 hearing.
Given the amount of weapons and drugs found at the residence, the RCMP out of Thompson continue their investigation.
