Allison Yarrow put light on this fact as she shared a photo of a thank you letter that the Duchess of Sussex sent to her for her contribution to the podcast.
Even though this is a very nice gesture from Meghan Markle, something else drew people’s attention. In the photo of the letter, it is clearly visible that Meghan Markle still uses her royal cypher. A crown above her initials. Seems like the Duchess holds dear to the benefits and to the value that the royal title adds.
Meghan Markle Holds Dearly To Her Royal Cypher Three Years After Quitting Official Duties
Meghan Markle’s royal cypher is initially revealed in 2018 after her wedding to Prince Harry. And she used it ever since. However, it was thought that since she publicly quit her royal duties she will let go of the cypher as well. Furthermore, what’s even stranger is that the Duchess is using the cypher when sending personal letters.
Royal biographers and experts took notice of this detail, and they point it out as something that she does for ‘the feeling of prestige’ and to simply ‘show off’.
“People think more highly of her if she has got the title – and of course if she has got the crown there… ‘Wow that is absolutely amazing.’” – Angela Levin, a Royal biographer said of Meghan Markle’s signature. “She is pushing it as far as she can in every way she can. It is a fantastic little helper politically because everyone will think: Oh my goodness she is amazing – that is what she thinks people will think.”
According to Angela Levin, Meghan Markle is not showing enough respect to the royal family. Levin says that the royal family is to ‘blame’ for Meghan Markle’s popularity. The author says that the royal family made her ‘one of the most famous women in the world’.
Regular people took notice of Meghan Markle’s signature as well. As we already know, Meghan Markle has many fans, but many haters as well. She gained most of them lately, by making some controversial statements on the podcast. They took notice of Yarrow’s post and started commenting.
