A grisly occurrence in Jackson, Mississippi as human remains were discovered after a dog was seen toting a severed arm. It was a sight that definitely warranted some sort of investigation as this is a stray dog that had a human arm leaving the condition and location of the body up in the air.
Mississippi Authorities Discover Discarded Human Remains After Dog Is Spotted with Severed Human Arm in Jackson
Somehow, the arm was taken from the dog on Middle Street. Authorities were able to track the rest of the body down to Terry Road at a vacant home in the woods on November 5, 2022.
The body is believed to be that of a white male but a full identification wasn’t made at the time as an arm and the head are missing.
Once again, another case with more questions than answers for authorities. According to Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, the Jackson PD is investigating the case. During a press conference on November 7, he said:
“That is a very graphic and brutal picture. The mutilation of a body, my reaction is one of disgust, is one of concern.”
The case is a graphic one that was put in before Jackson citizens in just as graphic fashion with dog carrying around an arm without a care in the world.
