Four roots, one tree. The mantra of Schism is starting to send chills down the spines of those in NXT, especially after Joe Gacy dropped Cameron Grimes recently. Tonight some grizzled young veterans are in the mix, as Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid are in action – taking on Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs in tag team action.
The Dyad Are More Deadly Than Ever Before
Fowler would start things up with Jensen, driving him down with a shoulder tackle before being thrown with a hip toss. Jensen hit a running dropkick for a one count, before Reid would get the tag. Briggs would manage a blind tag, before dropping Reid with a punch.
Jensen would press the advantage, running Reid down with a shoulder tackle before setting him up on the middle rope and hitting a punch to the face. The Dyad would swarm Jensen on the floor and nearly send him over the announce table. Fowler would try to keep Jensen away from a tag in the ring to no success.
Briggs would run The Dyad down, taking out Reid on the outside by throwing him into the ropes and letting him bounce into a lariat. At ringside, Fallon Henley would get into a brawl with Kiana James, while Briggs was dropped with a double Codebreaker for the victory. The roots are getting stronger.
Shawn Michaels Announces Iron Survivor Challenge
We’re just a few short weeks away from the next big NXT event, NXT Deadline. No matches have been announced for the show just yet, but tonight – the current head of NXT has a major announcement regarding Deadline. Shawn Michaels himself is here to give a statement, which could shape the PPV to come.
NXT is a brand focused on innovation, and we have a new match coming titled the Iron Survivor Challenge. There are two matches planned, for the men and women. A twenty five minute time limit, with five wrestlers involved, coming in at intervals. Pinfall or submission get a point, and the person taking the fall goes into the penalty box for 90 seconds. Whoever ends with most points – gets the win.
Indi Hartwell Is Only Worried About Results
Indi Hartwell is a lost woman right now in NXT, finally standing on her own. She’s the veteran of the division, a former tag champion, yet lacks direction. Recent attacks from Elektra Lopez have grabbed her attention – but tonight, she will face down Diamond Mine trainee Tatum Paxley in singles action.
Hartwell would start fast with a knee strike to the midsection, before shoving Paxley into the corner. Paxley fought back, only to be dropped with a lariat. Sleeper hold would be applied in the middle of the ring, with Hartwell letting it go to attempt a pinfall, with Paxley kicking out at one.
Hartwell was determined with the sleeper hold, before ripping the protective mask off the face. A knee to the back of the head would follow, and Hartwell is building a winning streak. Will Hartwell be in the Iron Survivor Challenge? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
