Last week, Zoey Stark sent out a warning to the NXT Women’s division – that she is the hunter, and the rest are simply prey. Sol Ruca would respond to this, putting herself in a match against Stark here tonight. This is a chance for Ruca to prove that she can hang with the best of NXT, and a chance to Stark to back up her words with action.
Prior to this, it’d be announced that once again – NXT will be part of WrestleMania, with NXT Stand & Deliver back on the calendar. Earlier this year, NXT travelled outside of Florida for that event – headlined by Bron Breakker vs. Dolph Ziggler for the NXT Championship, and more big matches should come in 2023.
Zoey Stark Shuts Sol Ruca Down
Ruca would be taken to the mat as this match began, side headlock applied. Stark would be unable to hold Ruca down, and trying to throw her across the ring would just result in Ruca showing her agility off. Instead, Stark would simply go to strikes with a superkick below the jaw landing flush.
Ruca would be lured to the outside and caught in the ring skirt for some strikes. Stark would be rolled up for two in the ring, before Ruca hit some rushing shoulder tackles and a dropkick. Back body drop would follow, with Ruca getting closer to three.
Handspring splash into the corner would be followed by a running powerslam – getting a near fall. Ruca would come off the top for a dropkick, but missed and fell to the knee to the jaw – match ending just like that. After the bell, Nikkita Lyons would rush the ring – dropping Stark and almost hitting that back heel kick.
Pretty Deadly Get Some Teachable Moments
Backstage, Duke Hudson was hanging out with his fellow Chase U students, before Pretty Deadly rolled up. They’d mock his failed poker career, before calling him and his fellow students lame. He’d get into a brawl with Pretty Deadly, taking a beating – but was still standing. After going to Andre Chase, a match was booked for the tag team championships tonight!
Hudson would catch Prince with an instant punch to the face, causing him to stumble into a tag to Wilson. Sidewalk slam would follow, with Hudson following up with an elbow drop. Pretty Deadly would work together on a victory roll on Chase for a two count, before Chase would apply a headlock. Wilson would break free, before being caught with another quick pinfall attempt.
He’d apply the headlock and still manage to send Prince flying with a back body drop. Hudson would help to even the odds before Chase hit the Russian Leg Sweep and the Chase U stomps. Back from a commercial break, Prince had regained control – with Chase having been beaten down throughout the break.
Duke Hudson & Andre Chase Make A Fatal Mistake
Wilson would draw Hudson away from the corner as Chase looked for a tag, keeping him in the ring for a double team axe handle smash. Thea Hail would be dropped by Pretty Deadly, and that drew Hudson away this time. Chase would take a double gutbuster, before finally making the tag.
Hudson would clean how with a series of back elbows and scoop slams, slamming Wilson and then Chase onto Prince. Some heavy jabs would follow, before Chase would be caught with a big boot to the face. Hudson would be taken out on the floor, and Chase fell to Spilled Milk in the ring.
