Kiana James has a certain vision for NXT, and it doesn’t include the likes of Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark. She views Stark as a “try hard”, and almost was done with her before Lyons got in her way. Tonight with Arianna Grace by her side – James wants to send Lyons & Stark packing from her ring.
Zoey Stark & Nikita Lyons Claim Tag Team Win
James would kick things off with a hard headlock on Stark, before being shoved into the corner. She’d try and come out fast, but was caught with an arm drag. Lyons would get the tag and took control of the match briefly before this nearly turned into a brawl. A commercial break would come and go without the aid of picture in picture, and when we returned Grace was in control.
Lyons would try and fight free of a hammerlock, nailing a Samoan Drop before an elbow smash into the corner. The running lariat and the spin kick would get a two count. Stark would get the tag and suplexed Grace into a tag, before James was run down with some running strikes.
James would send Stark out to the floor and retook control, before getting a one count off a stomp in the ring. Grace would get the tag and was cut down with some quick kicks before a knee to the jaw. Stark took her eyes off Grace to superkick James, before hitting the C-360, before Lyons would hit the splits leg drop for the pinfall.
We’d get an update on Wes Lee. He won the fan vote to enter the main event for a shot at the North American Championship, but Hayes & Williams beat him down in the locker room. Lee was being checked out in the trainers room, with the hopes of still getting his shot tonight.
Hank Walker Is The Blue Collar Badass Of NXT 2.0
Hank Walker has been dealing with the massive backstage ego of Javier Bernal for weeks now, and Bernal’s enjoyment of preventing Hank from doing his job as a security guard. Tonight, Hank will turn in his uniform for a pair of boots – and look to teach “Big Body Javy” a lesson in the ring. On his way to the ring, The Dyad got into a brawl with Malik Blade & Edirs Enofe – but Hank was off duty, and had issues to solve in the ring.
Without music or gear, Hank was already a fan favourite with the crowd, and Wade Barrett was shut down by his previous security experience in WWE being brought up. Bernal would be quick to apply a headlock, with Hank breaking free before throwing his opponent across the ring. Bernal would hit a basement dropkick, before Hank would look for a slam.
Hank would be taken into a sleeper hold, but would fight free and get the Thesz Press before ripping his dress shirt off. Some running splashes and a crossbody would follow, and Hank got the massive win!
