Florida Man Arrested After Brandishing Assault Rifle At Restaurant Customers Who Were Offered a Free Pizza
The customers were offered a free pizza and Andrade-Banegas became upset as the group had just finished their meal. He left the restaurant and returned moments later with an assault rifle. Andrade-Banegas went on to point the gun at the group and make threats.
Prior to Lee County deputies arriving at the establishment, the suspect had left but an eyewitness to the scene managed to record it. With a description of both the suspect and their vehicle, deputies located Andrade-Banegas on Captain John Smith Loop.
The assault rifle was found without doing a search of the car as it was hidden under a shirt and could be seen through the truck’s windows. Despite having the scope from an air gun mounted, it was determined that this was a real firearm and not a prop or air gun.
Cristian Andrade-Banegas was charged with six counts of aggravated assault and is currently behind bars on a $30,000 bond. He is scheduled in court on January 9, 2023.
