A New York man has been charged with the murder of his mother two days before Christmas in the Crosspointe community. According to authorities, a welfare check was requested on December 22, 2022 just after 11 AM.
New York Man Who Murdered His Mother Days Before Christmas Arrested in Philadelphia
When police arrived at the scene on Cozzens Court, they checked the house before finding 68-year-old Carmen Gordon inside dead. The East Brunswick PD and the Middlesex Prosecutor’s Office investigated the murder and were led to Jason Gordon (41) as the primary suspect. He was apprehended in Philadelphia on December 27.
Authorities didn’t reveal the younger Gordon’s motivation for killing his mother or if the two were on bad terms but said that the investigation into the case is ongoing. As it is, this incident sounds like an instance of holiday season violence.
Given the uptick in stabbings and slashings in New York, a death like this might be a local story that flies under the radar even in New York State. However, there is always some concern when murders occur during the holidays or within days of a day of observance.
What do you believe was Jason Gordon’s motivation for killing Carmen Gordon? As always, share your theories and thoughts in the comments.
