Titan & BUSHI might be a step behind the leading teams in this tournament – but have as good a chance as anyone to make the finals, holding a tiebreaker over their rivals in Catch 2/2. Tonight, they step into the ring against Dick Togo & SHO of House of Torture, which has become a dangerous faction in the past few days – picking up their first wins in the tournament by cranking their cheating up to 11. With Los Ingobernables De Japon generally staying out of each other’s matches, Titan & BUSHI can’t rely on the likes of Naito & SANADA making a save tonight – and will be wise to simply try to rush their opponents down.
Titan & BUSHI Have A Clear Speed Advantage
SHO & Togo would attack before the bell, but didn’t have EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi at ringside… yet. They’d work to isolate Titan in the ring, only for Titan to be able to easily fight both men off – using his speed to cause Togo to attack SHO before sending them to the floor. Titan slided partially under the bottom rope, only to chop both men on the back.
Togo & SHO teased a fight in the ring, before hugging it out and being sent to the floor. They’d use a Young Lion as a shield from dives over the top rope, before SHO dragged BUSHI to the crowd and threw him into a wall. Back in the ring, Togo would get a two count on Titan, before applying a rear chinlock.
Titan wiggled about to get a foot on the bottom rope, before Togo hit his signature running fist drop. He’d go after the mask of Titan in the House of Torture cover, but was unable to get it off. SHO would continue the work, before being dropped by a swift kick from Titan. BUSHI hit the ring and hit the basement dropkick, before a double hurricarana to House of Torture.
House of Torture Try (And Fail) To Make This A Handicap Match
SHO would be spiked with a DDT, before being thrown into the corner and avoiding a rushing back elbow. BUSHI hit the Pendulum Kick, before a Springboard Dropkick. SHO would be sent to the floor, but Togo tripped BUSHI before he could complete a dive. Togo would hit a low blow, before SHO tried to use his wrench.
Titan took SHO down with a DDT, before sending Togo to the floor and wiping both out with a Tope Con Hilo. Back in the ring, Togo was hit with the running lariat, with Titan slipping to the floor. BUSHI hit the Codebreaker Hold, only for EVIL & Yujiro to take Titan down before the double stomp.
BUSHI would be shoved into the referee, and suddenly it was four on two. SHO would be taken down, before EVIL was ran into Yujiro by BUSHI before Titan hit a split legged dropkick. House of Torture would be dropped with a springboard moonsault, before the Coderbreaker Hold into Double Stomp got BUSHI & Titan a very important victory – putting them to 10 points.
El Lindaman & YOH Show Some Bad Blood
SAUCEHEARTS have meshed together incredibly in this tournament, the best of the more makeshift teams in the field. Right behind them is the new CHAOS duo of YOH & Lio Rush, who have denied their status as a ‘thrown together team’ and proved they can work together and overcome the likes of Chris Bey & Ace Austin. Tonight, they look to test how tight of a unit SAUCEHEARTS is in a match that could have major implications on the finals of the tournament.
Rush would kick things off with Zayne, blocking a hurricanrana attempt before missing a pump kick – but catching Rush with a double knee drop and a running shooting star senton. Lindaman would get the tag, hitting a scoop slam and an elbow drop before running YOH off the apron and throwing him into the ring post. YOH would be fired up by this, getting the tag and taking the fight to Lindaman in the ring with a stiff chop.
Lindaman would be tripped up and caught with a dropkick to the side of the face before a cocky cover for a one count. They’d brawl into the corner, with Lindaman tripping YOH and choking him with his boot. Zayne would follow up with a PK to the spine, before applying a Dragon Sleeper in the middle of the ring. YOH would fight back, hitting a neckbreaker to open up the door for a tag to Rush.
Lio Rush Sets Up A Five Star Clutch
Rush would be met by Lindaman, able to corner him and leapfrog over Zayne to catch him with a spear to his own partner. Lindaman would be sent to the floor and hit with a dive, before taking a spear from Rush in the ring for a two count. YOH would be placed into the corner alongside Rush, with Rush taking a hurricarana before having YOH suplexed onto him.
German Suplex would follow on Rush, with Lindaman getting a two count. Rush would use Zayne to launch himself into a tag to YOH. Back to YOH & Lindaman, they’d trade stiff forearm smashes in the ring before Lindaman would hit a chokeslam. Brainbuster would be blocked into a Falcon Arrow before a German Suplex sent Lindaman into the corner.
YOH rushed in, only to be thrown into the corner with an Exploder Suplex. Kumigoroshi would set YOH up for the Cinnamon Twist, but Rush would make the last second save to take Zayne off the top rope. Lindaman would be quick to drop Rush with a DDT, before YOH hit a rising knee and the Air Raid Crash.
Zayne tried to hit the Taco Driver, but YOH blocked into a roll up for two. Lindaman would catch him with a German Suplex Hold, but Rush altered the pinfall to put YOH on top. Rush would isolate Lindaman on ther floor, before YOH caught Zayne with the Five Star Clutch for the victory.
