The tournaments of Aussie Open & House of Torture couldn’t be more different. Aussie Open have a perfect 3-0 record, while House of Torture are 0-3 in World Tag League (and 0-4 in Super Junior Tag League). This almost sets the stage for an upset tonight, as another loss will put House of Torture at risk of elimination – so EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi will pull out all their dirty tricks to get the win tonight.
Aussie Open Remain Undefeated Despite Best Efforts Of House Of Torture
EVIL & Takahashi would attack before the bell, sending Aussie Open to the floor. This quickly backfired as Fletcher & Davis picked them up and slammed them into each other with spinebusters. Davis would hit a stiff forearm shot in the ring, before EVIL yanked him to the floor and drove him into the timekeeper’s table.
Back in the ring, EVIL would choke Fletcher with a House of Torture shirt, and pinned him for a two count. A human chain would form of House of Torture members, offering extra leverage on a Cobra Twist on Fletcher. Davis would get the tag and threw his weight around with shoulder tackles and chops, before a double lariat.
EVIL would whip Davis into the mysteriously exposed House of Torture corner, before Takahashi set him up on the ropes for a big boot to the face. Davis would be able to make a comeback, hitting a sliding elbow to the face of Yujiro before checking EVIL off the apron. Dental Plan would land before the Powerslam Cutter, with EVIL breaking the pinfall up.
The referee would be taken out, allowing Dick Togo & SHO to hit the ring with a wrench and steel chair. Aussie Open were completely overwhelmed, and Gideon Grey tried to make the save but was beaten down all the same. Great-O-Khan arrived next, and helped to properly up House of Torture down. Gideon hit a low blow, and Aussie Open nailed Corealis – ending this match, and continuing their undefeated record.
TMDK Aren’t Playing L.I.J’s Mind Games
SANADA & Tetsuya Naito are looking to step up after a tough loss to Bishamon on the last stop of World Tag League, and tonight are matched up with Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls of TMDK. Haste & Nicholls are hot off a victory over EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi, and look to continue their upward momentum to the end of World Tag League. Both teams have a 2-1 record, meaning the winner will see themselves move to a promising six points.
Naito would start things with Nicholls, stalling to try and get in the head of his opponent before grabbing a wrist lock. Nicholls was able to slip free and caught Naito in a delayed vertical suplex, getting a two count on the following pinfall attempt. Haste would hold Naito in place for some elbow smashes, before Naito broke free and threw Nicholls towards SANADA.
A simple trip into a dropkick would follow, before Naito & SANADA would take TMD to the floor and drive their spines right into the barricade. Back in the ring, Naito would go after the eyes of Nicholls, before SANADA would wrench away at the arm. Hammerlock was applied in the middle of the ring, but Nicholls forced SANADA back into the corner before being dropped with an elbow smash.
SANADA Falls To Tank Buster
Nicholls was thrown into the corner by Naito, but exploded back out with a lariat – turning Naito inside out. Haste followed up with a powerslam for a two count. Naito was placed on the top rope, with Nicholls taking Haste down with a powerbomb as Naito was hit with a brainbuster.
SANADA would break the pinfall up, as Natio would recover and hit the swinging DDT on Haste. SANADA would hit the dropkick to the knee to send Haste to the floor, before following him with a vaulting body press. Nicholls & Haste would hit the backdrop neckbreaker combo, only for Naito to nearly catch Nicholls with Destino. Haste was able to help the counter, before looking for Tank Buster out of the corner. SANADA would block into a O’Connor Roll – before being shoved into Tank Buster for the finish.
