Two slaughterhouse employees, who had gained access to the residence of a former colleague and then proceeded to subject him and a guest to torture and maiming, were found guilty of committing a double homicide.
Two Abattoir Workers Found Guilty After Killing Victims Like Butchered Pigs
According to reports, Ionut-Valentin Boboc and Jacob-Bebe Chers, mercilessly stabbed and caused the death of Denzil McKenzie, 56 years old, and Fahad Hossain Pramanik, 27, inside Mr McKenzie’s house.
The victims were allegedly stabbed numerous times to the point where the injuries were akin to that of people who had been like ‘butchered pigs.’
The dismembered body parts of the victims were left there in the house, while the two men attempted to eliminate any evidence and conceal their activities. A jury declared Boboc and Chers guilty of homicide and they will be sentenced later this month.
Prosecutor Kevin Dent did not hold back on the horrors that had taken place. He said: “They left behind them a scene of horror, the dead and mutilated bodies of Denzil McKenzie and Fahad Pramanik were left in the sitting room.
“The bodies had been arranged in a macabre display. One body was on the sofa and the other on the floor.” It is not surprising, then, that the reaction on social media was very vocal.
A certain subset of people demanded that the highest possible punishment be given out for such a heinous crime. Meanwhile, others were simply left shocked by the fact that people were capable of behaving in this type of manner.
One person wrote: “You have to be evil to work slaughtering defenceless beings,” while another person stated: “Make sure they get a long sentence only because there is no death penalty.”
With so much anger being displayed, it is vital that the authorities hand out a sentence that is fitting with the crime. Time will tell how it all plays out moving forward.
