Authorities in Trinidad Charge Woman with Drug Trafficking After Seizing Cocaine and Marijuana
The search took place in Rio Claro, a city that has experienced an increase in both drug trafficking and gang activity in recent years. With a healthy criminal element and balancing other pressing issues, smugglers such as Michelle Gonzales are able to do their activities until those activities fall within the current issues authorities are dealing with at the moment.
CID would seize 154 grams of cocaine in eight packages, marijuana that was packaged up, drug paraphernalia, and $10,000 in cash. Authorities estimate that the drugs have a street value of $71,533. There was a warrant for another suspect who lived at the residence as well but the individual escaped from police during the search.
Gonzales was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. She is currently being held without bond.
