In Crisp County, California, a man was arrested after he was found with drugs during a traffic stop. The traffic stop occurred on January 17, 2023 at roughly 1 PM. A blue Toyota Corolla was spotted speeding on I-75. A Crisp County deputy would pull over the driver and noted the smell of marijuana.
California Man Arrested with Pills During Traffic Stop for Speeding
The suspect claimed that he and his two passengers had smoked marijuana at their previous location. The deputy searched the vehicle and found Xanax, other pills, and cash. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office didn’t specify the weight or street value of the seized drugs. Authorities identified the suspect as Junyu Kim (23).
Kim was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was also charged with excessive speeding and held at the Crisp County Detention Center. The two passengers riding with Junyu Kim were allowed to leave after it was determined that they didn’t have pills on them.
