Gerard Butler humorously described how he got acid on his face as he was shooting a scene for his new thriller, “Plane.”
Gerard Butler Remembers Getting Acid On His Face-‘I’m Just Like Burning Alive’
He jested that no matter what he attempts, he always ends up doing harm to himself. On NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Butler described that the scene in which he hurt himself included him pretending to be examining what was wrong with an airplane so they could resume their flight.
Butler reported that his hands were stained with blood and a green liquid every single time he pulled them out from the vehicle’s wheels. In his comments, Butler said: “I don’t know what this green fluid is.”
The actor mentioned that the filming was taking place in Puerto Rico, and they were all feeling the heat during the scene they were shooting.
But things soon got out of hand, as it turns out that Butler had touched acid which began to have an impact on other parts of his body.
With that being the case, Butler began to become overwhelmed as he realised the seriousness of the situation. His following comments confirmed as much: “I must have been, I’m rubbing my face.
“Suddenly, it’s in my throat, it’s in my mouth, it’s up my nose, it’s in my eyes, it’s burning my face, and I mean burning. And it turns out this is essentially phosphoric acid. So, I’m just like burning alive. It was intense.”
The fans on social media began to troll the actor on the basis that it was hard to fathom that something like this could have happened. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal indeed.
One person wrote: “You would think he would have felt it on his hands before he put it on his face,” while another person stated: “It’s okay Gerard ,we’ve all done it.”
