In Attleboro, Massachusetts, a man faced charges of murder and arson a week after he was charged with robbing and assaulting the same victim. According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Adam Rollins (42) is responsible for the murder of 80-year-old Judith Henriques.
Massachusetts Man Charged with Arson and Murder of 80-Year-Old Woman in November 2022
On November 18, 2022, authorities and emergency services responded to a fire on Division Street. Henriques was found dead inside and it was noted that she appeared to have been attacked. The house had also been burglarized. Later, it was revealed that roughly $1,200 in jewelry was missing.
Rollins was arrested in connection to the incident on robbery and assault charges. Investigators were still looking at the scene but found several pieces of evidence that tied him to the death of Henriques. In addition, that evidence pointed to the woman being murdered before the fire was set.
On January 1, 2023, Rollins was arrested on arson and murder charges in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He was ordered to be held without bail during his dangerousness hearing on January 10. At the moment, the arson is still being investigated.
