For weeks now, fans have been awaiting the tag team grudge match between The Creed Brothers & Indus Sher. Injuries would delay the match, due to both teams wanting to enter at 100% – and tonight, we finally get to see if Indus Sher is worthy of the respect of the fans. They would align themselves with former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal – and that led to Julius Creed taking a loss at New Years Evil. More fired up than when this match was originally set to happen as a result, The Creed Brothers are looking to smash.
Diamond Mine Gets Crushed By Indus Sher
Ivy Nile would be in the corner of The Creed Brothers here tonight, while Jinder Mahal would accompany Indus Sher for this match. Julius & Veer would kick things off with a hard lock up in the middle of the ring. Veer would be sent off the ropes, but he’d block the hip toss attempt – leading to an exchange of strikes from Julius & Veer.
Sanga & Brutus Creed would get the tag, with Brutus blocking a big boot and looking for the single leg takedown. Veer would get the tag, allowing Sanga to break free and run Brutus down with a shoulder tackle before Veer hit the jumping elbow drop. Julius would get the tag and was able to slam Brutus onto the chest of Veer.
Sanga would get the blind tag, as Veer would launch Julius into the ropes with a flapjack. Indus Sher would hit a tag team move using the ropes, with Julius being overwhelmed – but stuck to the basics and hit a double leg takedown, only for Veer to hit from behind. A cobra clutch would be applied in the middle of the ring – with Julius able to fight his way free before Sanga put all his weight on top of the rising star.
Veer would take an enziguri, and a determined Brutus would hit the ring with some heavy strikes. He would drop Veer with a German Suplex, before simply trying to smash him into the mat. Julius would get the tag as Brutus hit a moonsault, with a running Shooting Star Press from Julius quickly following.
Gutwrench Powerbomb landed with Veer able to kick out. Spinebuster would land, but Mahal would grab the foot. Nile would berate Mahal, only to be taken off the apron by Julius by accident. Chokeslam would follow – and Indus Sher wins.
Zoey Stark Gets An Impressive Victory
Zoey Stark had a great showing in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, having perhaps the best run from an NXT Superstar last night – spending half an hour in the match. Another who had an impressive run in the match was Indi Hartwell. While talking about the Royal Rumble backstage to the NXT women’s locker room, Stark would interrupt saying that she forgot Hartwell was even in the match. Sol Ruca would remind Stark that Hartwell beat her in the past, and a singles match was made.
Hartwell would come out hot with some forearm smashes, sending Stark out to the mat. On her way back into the ring, Stark would take a boot to the face, before some short arm lariats in the ring. Stark would be able to catch Hartwell with a sliding lariat, before looking for an armbar. Hartwell was able to send Stark off with an arm drag – before a sidewalk slam.
Stark would dodge a boot by the ropes and hit a slingshot senton into the ring, before applying the tight cravate. Hartwell would fight up to her feet – and drive Stark spine first into the corner. Spinebuster would get a two count, before Stark found her footing and hit a German Suplex.
Hartwell would be sent to the apron, and a springboard would lead to her slipping as Stark moved the ropes. Go To Stark would follow, and Zoey Stark gets a major victory. After the match, Stark kept the beating coming – with Sol Ruca making the save.
