This coming Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, RUSH will be the next man standing in the path of Bryan Danielson as he seeks to get his title shot against AEW World Champion MJF. RUSH has been given the same orders as Brian Cage & Timothy Thatcher, that being to break the arm of Danielson. The damage is quickly adding up on Danielson, especially after going up against Thatcher.

Tonight, RUSH has a chance to face one of Bryan’s contemporaries from the early days of Ring of Honor, that being Christopher Daniels. Both men are former ROH World Champions, and while Daniels isn’t in the prime of his career anymore, you don’t make it this long in professional wrestling without learning many strikes. He’s been called many names, from The Ring General to The Fallen Angel, and is a name that demands respect from the likes of RUSH.

El Toro Blanco vs. The Fallen Angel

RUSH would have Preston Vance & Jose The Assistant in his corner for this match, giving him an extra edge here tonight. Daniels would be able to get a rear waist lock, before RUSH would show he’s no slouch in terms of grappling. RUSH would get the wrist lock, but Daniels used the ropes to get free before the arm drag.

Daniels would be able to block a lariat into an armbreaker, and followed up with a lariat to the back of the head. Running dropkick would send RUSH to the floor before a tope suicida kept the pressure on. Back in the ring, Jose would run a distraction – allowing RUSH to hit the first heavy strike of the match.

RUSH would run the distraction in the ring, as Vance threw Daniels into the turnbuckle and choked him out. Another elbow smash to the face would follow, before RUSH threw Daniels into the barricade. Jose would get the camera cables, and RUSH would whip Daniels on the floor before trying to choke him out.

Christopher Daniels Falls To The Bulls Horns

Back in the ring, Daniels would be stomped into the corner for the Bull’s Horn, but RUSH got cocky and just hit a kick to the face. Vance again attacked Daniels on the floor, as RUSH distracted the referee. Some stomps in the middle of the ring would follow, with this being a mugging at this point. Daniels would be thrown back to the floor, and Jose would hold Daniels back as Vance went for the pump kick.

Jose was kicked instead, with Vance shoved into the post. Daniels would shove Jose into the ring, distracting RUSH for a roll up – getting a two count. Blue Thunder Powerbomb would follow, with Daniels back in control of the match. RUSH would hit some heavy handed strikes before a superkick, only for Daniels to hit the Death Valley Driver. Koji Clutch would be applied, but Vance put the foot of RUSH on the bottom rope.

Uranage would plant RUSH, but the Best Moonsault Ever was blocked by RUSH getting his knees up. Daniels would be suplexed into the corner, before the Bulls Horns would impale him for the finish. Can RUSH defeat Bryan Danielson? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
