Since making her debut for AEW, Jade Cargill has truly been a force to be reckoned with. Cargill has been TBS Champion since the belts debut in January 2022 – recently passing 400 days as champion. Throughout this reign, Cargill has remained undefeated – but hasn’t exactly been facing the cream of the crop in AEW – mostly defeating undercard names like Kiera Hogan & Red Velvet. Occasionally a proven name like Athena or Tay Melo challenged Cargill – but she’s been kept away from the top names… and wants that to change.
Jade Cargill Wants To Start Getting Bigger Matches
While speaking with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, Cargill would clarify that she has eyes on the AEW Women’s World Championship – but feels like giving the roster more time before she wins that belt. Cargill would have the following to say.
“I’m just going to give these ladies some time before I want to go for the big belt. That’s something that I want to accomplish. I want to go for the main belt, I know that’s for sure.”
While being TBS Champion, Cargill hopes to start getting to face some former AEW Women’s World Champions, and having longer matches and feuds.
“I wouldn’t say so soon because right now I’m just focused on getting reps and getting better. Having longer matches, better feuds, and actual storylines. However, I believe it’s time for me to start having storylines with a Britt Baker, or Jamie Hayter, or a Saraya, or Toni Storm and working those storylines. I know I can do it. I have the charisma to do it. If you stand me next to any of these ladies, the work, the look and the aura of who I am speaks for itself.”
Cargill recently gained her 50-0 record in AEW, and the 50 wins achievement she shares in the women’s division with former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida. With Cargill & Shida having nothing to do yet for AEW Revolution, this could be the chance for Cargill to try and reach that next level with one of the best in the company.
