The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office recently nabbed a man who was caught looking into a woman’s window in DeBary, Florida. The suspect was identified as Steven P. Johnson (29) and the sheriff’s office noted that this wasn’t a first time thing for Johnson.
Florida Peeping Tom Faces New Charges After Video Shows Him Peeking into a Woman’s Window
On January 26, 2023, Johnson was caught having just spied on a woman by a deputy at around 9 PM. He took off running and managed to lose the deputy. After deploying drones to search the area, he was caught trying to hide in a swamp.
After letting Johnson know that he was, in fact, a weirdo for looking skulking around, and peeking into windows in the darkness, the suspect was arrested. The VCSO charged Johnson with loitering/prowling and resisting an officer without violence.
Steven Johnson was arrested again on January 30, 2023 on new charges of stalking after surveillance footage showed the suspect peeking into a window at the residence on at least three separate occasions before fleeing.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office announced that patrols would be increased in the area as a result of Johnson’s arrest.
