Prince Andrew is concerned that King Charles III is attempting to get him to move out of his £30 million Windsor residence by drastically reducing his yearly allowance.
Prince Andrew Worried That King Charles III Wants Him Out Of His £30 Million Windsor Residence-‘He’s Not Being Explicitly Kicked Out But It’s Expected’
According to reports, Andrew is expressing his anger to his acquaintances that if he does not receive a large sum of money annually, he will be unable to sustain the home and be forced to leave.
It is widely known that the house needs a lot of repairs, yet Andrew no longer receives public funds once he withdrew from his Royal engagements in 2019 due to allegations of sexual misconduct made by Virginia Giuffre.
While that may have been the case, Andrew denied doing anything of the sort, despite his out-of-court settlement. The Duke used to receive yearly private funds from the late Queen Elizabeth II, which was reported to amount to £249,000.
But recently, all members of the Royal Family were informed that Charles will be providing less money than before. Those closest to the Duke sense that he has been unfairly singled out as his sole other income source is a pension from the Navy, so he will experience an especially difficult financial situation.
An insider confirmed as much: “He’s not being explicitly kicked out but it’s expected that he won’t be able to afford the maintenance.
“Royal Lodge has a swimming pool, 98 acres of land and is already in need of some repair,” while another remarked: “They’ve been told their subsidy, vital for maintaining Royal Lodge, will be cut as soon as April.”
The social media response was far from sympathetic. This was on the basis that Andrew’s conduct had shown he should not be entitled to such money.
One person wrote: “Why does he need to live in and maintain such a huge home? He has no official duties to perform, the cost must be enormous.”
