Back in 2022, Thunder Rosa was dominant as the AEW Women’s World Champion. However, she would lose the belt in the worst possible way – having to give up the belt due to injury just ahead of All Out 2022, where she was set to face Toni Storm. Instead, Storm would defeat Jamie Hayter, Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida to claim the belt – and fans would have to patiently wait to see Rosa return. Despite rumours of a February return and Rosa being back on the road in AEW – she won’t be in the ring just yet.
Thunder Rosa Is Back On The Road With AEW Dynamite, Joining The Spanish Announce Desk
Rosa was on hand for the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, despite not showing up on TV. She was instead sitting at the Spanish announce table, and that will be her role for the foreseeable future. Rosa would confirm this with a post to her Twitter account.
Exciting news, AEW fans! While my recovery continues, I’ll join
AEW as a Spanish commentator & on-screen personality. I’m thrilled to be able to serve Spanish-speaking fans in this unique way. Health is a journey with ups and downs. Meanwhile, I’ll see you from the booth!
This is an excellent way to keep Rosa in the loop of AEW while she finishes up her injury recovery. Being back on the road is a good sign for the recovery process, and we can hopefully expect to see Rosa back in action in the coming months.
Rosa Will Fit Well Into The Storyline of AEW vs. Saraya & Storm
Right now, there is a perfect storyline to put Rosa back in the mix of AEW in the ring – with Saraya & Toni Storm waging a war against the AEW Women’s division. They’re even working on getting Ruby Soho on their side, as she was someone else who made her name in professional wrestling in WWE.
Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker are doing their best to fight off Saraya & Storm, but if Soho joins – they’ll be outnumbered. Thunder Rosa is one of the biggest rivals of Baker in AEW, and having her leave the announce desk to make the save could be an incredible moment.
