The Elite have been run through by the Blackpool Combat Club – with The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and even Hangman Page taken down.
With Bryan Danielson showing his true colours, the BCC are more dangerous and focused than ever before – calling themselves the only true professionals in AEW.
There are two men left standing in The Elite, that being Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa – and tonight, they look to stand up to the bullies of the BCC in a tag team match.
Kenny Omega would promise violence towards BCC before this match, sending in a video from the hospital room of Don Callis.
Jeff Hardy Makes His AEW Return
Before we got this tag team dream match, Ethan Page would hit the ring. He’s having a hard time dealing with The Firm – with Matt Hardy screwing him over, HOOK kicking his ass, and Stokely Hathaway still being injured.
Page needs answers, and he needs to know what Hardy put in the contract that Page signed for his match against HOOK.
Isaiah Kassidy & Hardy would come to the ramp, and say that Page should always read the fine print on a contract. Hardy swindled Page because he needed a way to get Private Party & himself out of their contract with The Firm. Now, Hardy can set up a match to release them from Page’s grasp.
Page would call on Big Bill & Lee Moriarty to beat Hardy & Kassidy down – and HOOK would hit the ring to make the save.
HOOK would take down The Firm one by one – nearly getting an XL Suplex on Big Bill – before The Firm regained their ground. Finally, Jeff Hardy would rush the ring to make the save – steel chair in hand.
He would fight off Page, before hitting Lee with a Twist Of Fate and the Swanton Bomb. Hardy has been out of action since his 2022 DUI – but is back and in some of the best shape we’ve seen him in. This could be his final chance in AEW, and he’s ready to help take The Firm down.
Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa Left Bloody By Blackpool Combat Club
Moxley would attack before Nakazawa & Cutler even hit the ring – using a steel chair on the neck of Cutler. Castagnoli would dribble the head of Nakazawa on the ring apron until he bled, before Nakazawa was able to crawl into the ring.
Showing his fighting spirit, Nakazawa would fire up and hit some forearm smashes. Claudio would be beaten to the ropes before running down Nakazawa with a lariat.
Giant Swing would follow, with Nakazawa swung out of his shoes. Sharpshooter would be applied, and Cutler would help punch Nakazawa free before being sent to the floor. Ricola Bomb would be countered with a back body drop, and Nakazawa tagged in Cutler to face Moxley.
A bloody Cutler would trade lariats with Moxley, able to do some damage before The King Kong Lariat and Death Rider set up the Bulldog Choke – with Nakazawa making the save!
Castagnoli would stop Nakazawa, hitting the Hammer & Anvil Elbows while Moxley stopped Cutlers head in – and this was a referee stoppage.
Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks Are Back
Moxley would say that The Elite is full of glass jaws and glass egos – and that is why no one is here to help Nakazawa & Cutler. Kenny Omega would hit the ramp – but wasn’t going to run into a three on one attack.
Thankfully, The Young Bucks were here to even the odds up – and BCC were now the ones being beaten. Moxley took a BTE Trigger, and Omega would look to use the gear case – but Matt Jackson suggested a screwdriver, like Danielson used on Page. Castagnoli would save Moxley at the last second – and this feud is getting violent.
