‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This is going to be one of those dark episodes where the mourning turns into anger or detachment, and neither one leads to a good place. Let’s dig in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 10: Daniel wants revenge
The news of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)’s death hit most hard, but none more than her children after her antics forced them to implement tough love.
Through it all, Phyllis continued her downward spiral and no one stepped in to actually stop her despite knowing her history, choosing instead to hope she did the right thing.
Now that she’s “gone”, the lack of forethought in her and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde)’s plan will begin to show as Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will set out to avenge his mom’s death by killing Stark.
He’s made no secret as to who he holds responsible, and while he’s right in that regard, going after Stark is a complete different matter and this is something he may not be able to come back from.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers hope Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will manage to talk him down, though if he corners Stark he could learn the truth.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 10: Two sides of the same coin
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is as full of hate for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as Phyllis, but luckily she’s not as volatile. Or is she?
She knows what she’s building with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is along the same lines as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane’s relationship, expect she’s being far more skeptical and manipulative.
That’s not going to stop her from once again launching into Jack about how this is all Diane’s fault, since in her and her fellow Mean Girls’ world it’s not their fault they can’t move on.
This will cause Jack to fire back about Tucker, which Ashley will point out is no different, in her mind, than what Diane’s doing and Jack’s blind to it.
Jack is blinded by his hate as well, but would he be if Ashley hadn’t spent months drawing a line in the sand and ripping into him about Diane at every chance she got?
It’s definitely a delicate situation and one of the best family dynamics the show has given us in a while that’s not Newman drama repeats.
