The WWE propaganda machine will continue as Triple H will open Smackdown to share the company message that nothing is changing and the company and its fans will be together “Then, Now, and Forever”.
We expect it to be along he lines of his speech on Monday Night Raw on April 3, but there will likely be a twist.
Triple H to Address WWE Universe About Unity to Open Smackdown
While the first part of Triple H’s speech was a heartfelt thanks, the second part was oversold and felt like a hollow declaration.
That seems to be the case as reports came out that Vince McMahon took over creative for Raw with last minute rewrites and scraping of segments.
This led to a tumultuous Raw that, despite ratings for being After WrestleMania, was the worst one in months, or since McMahon last ran WWE Creative.

Trying to bail out a sinking ship
Since then, fans have dominated social media as they have caused numerous trends of different versions of 3firevincemcmahon and so on.
Since the news broke that he forced his way back into the company, it’s been widely reported that he’s the only one that wanted him back.
He repeatedly said he was only there to facilitate the sale and he’d stay away from creative, and now that the inevitable happened and he backtracked, fans are furious.
So, it’ll be up to Triple H to address these concerns to open Smackdown and attempt to turn the tide back into WWE’s favor.

The problem with this is the fans may not be interested in what he’s selling.
After a lackadaisical effort storytelling wise for years, we’ve grown accustomed to coherent storylines with logical outcomes instead of the spaghetti thrown against the wall to see what’ll stick and entertain McMahon.
Needing to back off
The smart move would be for McMahon to back off and let Triple H continue to correct the course of a lost company as he’s done to the fans’ delight since taking over.
This is the opposite of what McMahon does as he’s proven to be a fighter over the years and never backs down from a confrontation.
He’s also been a master at playing the victim when what’s done to him is the same thing he previously did to others.
A perfect example is the Monday Night Wars where he touted himself as the underdog despite WCW’s past of losing money, and then complaining when they took his talent.
Lost in that is he started stealing the top talent from the AWA, NWA, and other companies in the 80s by offering larger contracts that couldn’t be matched.
But this time there isn’t anyway he can turn it around as being the victim or underdog followed the allegations of sexual assault and him paying people to stay quiet.
Fans are saying they’re not willing to go back to his style of booking, so we’ll have to wait and see how things play out with the copy and paste opening coming our way.
