Since the start of AEW Dynamite 199 episodes ago, one thing was already clear – that there are certain people on the roster who aren’t scared to get violent.
After a heated triple threat tag team match last week, three men are ready to keep the fight going tonight. Jon Moxley, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Trent Beretta will meet in an ‘Anything Goes’ three way match, and look to show that the violent nature of AEW will not fade as long as they’re still around.
All Out Violence Is What Has Defined AEW Since Day One
Trent would dive onto Moxley as the match began, only for Penta to dive onto Trent. A slingblade landed on Moxley, before Trent hit a spear. Moxley would take Trent into the ring, but took a trash can to the head from Penta. Trent would be cracked with the trash can lid, before Moxley hit a big jumping cutter.
Penta would get a barbed wire wrapped 2×4 out from under the ring, but Moxley ducked as Penta swung. Moxley would take a backstabber in the corner from Penta, and Fear Factor piledriver was set.
Trent would hit a trash can lid assisted knee strike, before Moxley used the 2×4 on Trent. A piledriver on the 2×4 would land, busting Trent open.
Penta would set up the tables on the floor, putting them back to back by the turnbuckle. A bloody Trent was set up on the table, and Penta was ready to dive. Moxley would stop him, only for Trent to recover – and take Moxley down through the tables with a superplex.
Penta would set up a table in the ring, only for Moxley to put Penta in a sleeper hold. Moxley would switch to Hammer & Anvil Elbows, battering Penta with stiff strikes. All three men would rise and trade strikes in the middle of the ring, with Moxley taking a double superkick.
Trent Beretta Steals The Win, Best Friends Lay Out The Challenge
Trent was set up on a table, but again recovered to try for a superplex through the table on Penta. Penta would recover, and hit a Mexican Destroyer off the top rope through a table. Moxley would quickly drive Penta through a table in the corner with a spear, before getting thumbtacks.
Penta would try to get the Fear Factor into the tacks, but Moxley instead hit the Gotch Style Piledriver into the tacks. Moxley would follow up with an X-Plex, before a Cutter on Trent – putting himself in the tacks. He’d try for another Gotch Style, but took Crunchy into the tacks instead – with Trent having the victory, until Penta used the trash can to break the pinfall up.
All three men would trade strikes in the middle of the ring, with Moxley hitting the King Kong Lariat on Trent to send him from the ring. Death Rider on Penta into the tacks landed, but Trent had recovered in time to drop Moxley with the knee strike – and pinned Penta for the win.
After the bell, Moxley would choke out Trent in the ring as the Blackpool Combat Club came to the ring. Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy were there to make the save, with Cassidy hitting an Orange Punch on Moxley. Taylor grabbed the microphone, and challenged Moxley & Castagnoli to a Parking Lot Brawl.
Who’s Ready For Story Time With MJF?
MJF is a man with a lot on his mind right now in AEW. Having just let the AEW World Tag Team Championships slip through his fingers, he felt that he let tag team partner Adam Cole down in a big way.
In addition to this, CM Punk is walking around with an AEW World Championship, calling himself the Real World’s Champion – spitting in the face of MJF and his time as champion. Tonight, we will hear from MJF – and find out what he intends to do about these growing issues.
MJF would get a heroes welcome from the fans, something he’s not used to. He would drop his usual persona, and told a story about his ADHD – and the Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria that comes with it.
His brain isn’t wired like most, and rejection stings evene more – rejection sticks with him. MJF told a story of being bullied, and how that makes him stab people in the back before people can stab him in the back.
He’s not proud of who he’s become, but being a scumbag is hard. What’s hard is being vulnerable and open. However – he’s not scared anymore, he’s ready to be his true self.
MJF credits this lack of fear to the AEW fans – they taught him that they actually care about him. While he’s not promising overnight change, MJF is ready to be the fan’s scumbag.
Adam Cole Doesn’t Deserve Just Any Match…
Adam Cole would be someone who really helped MJF come to this stage of his career, being the friend MJF needed. He’d be called one of the best wrestlers in the world, one of the best people in the world – and MJF’s best friend. Cole would come to the ring, and said that MJF impresses him every day.
MJF is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world at a young age, and is becoming a man worthy of respect. Cole reminds MJF that he is not alone, he’s gone through the same journey as MJF – the journey to become the man he’s meant to be. The AEW fans love and adore him, and everyone is proud of him.
Cole would be reminded that he’s been promised a shot at the AEW World Championship, and MJF has thought long and hard about it.
He’s come to the conclusion that Cole doesn’t deserve a match, not just any match. Cole deserves the match. He deserves the biggest show in AEW history, the main event, Wembley Stadium.
Cole would sign the contract, and we have the first confirmed match for this massive event. Who will leave Wembley Stadium as AEW World Champion? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
