For weeks now, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen has had issues with Legado Del Fantasma – after implicating them in attacking The Creed Brothers. Tonight, they will clash in a tag team match – and finally get a chance to see who is the better tag team unit.
Tommaso Ciampa Is Ready To Write The Final Chapter Of His NXT Career At Stand & Deliver
Before this match, we’d hear from Tommaso Ciampa. This Saturday in Dallas, he will face Tony D’Angelo. Since coming to NXT, Ciampa has grown as a professional wrestler, and fans have been along for the ride. The fans have been the only constant during these past seven years.
Together we overcame, and created Black & Gold magic. Stand & Deliver will be the end of an era. Ciampa doesn’t know what the future holds for him following Stand & Deliver, but fans are going to watch him create magic once again. He’d get up, and the chair he sat on put his NXT debut date as 9/9/2015 – and his last stand as 4/2/2022.
This truly looks like the end of Ciampa in NXT, a day that few expected to ever come. However, there is nothing left for Ciampa to accomplish in NXT – and a lot of untapped potential for him on a show like Monday Night RAW. However, that’s implying that Tony D’Angelo allows him to continue his career after Saturday.
Briggs & Jensen would be accompanied to the ring by Fallon Henley, while Legado Del Fantasma had Elektra Lopez in their corner. Wilde would start with Jensen, and got launched into the sky with a flapjack before being slammed down with a powerslam.
Mendoza & Briggs hit the ring, and a pop up Bearhug would see Mendoza slammed into the corner. A double shoulder tackle would follow, before Mendoza was sandwiched by two knuckle sandwiches while hanging on the middle rope..
Mendoza would follow up with a dropkick to the outside. Wilde showed some parkour skills, holding himself off the ring pole before landing a splash. LDF would isolate Jensen in the corner, and make tags as they nailed rushing lariats.
The double suplex would follow, getting a two count. Sleeper hold was applied, but Jensen was able to toss Mendoza off and make the tag. Briggs would hit the butterfly backbreaker for the near fall. Lopez ran the distraction, but Henley would take her down. Wilde looked for the 450 Splash, but was caught by Briggs. A tag and lariat version of Total Elimination later – and this one was over!
