Last week, the producer of Lashing Out With Lash Legend learned to respect Tony D’Angelo when he might have ended up tied up in the trunk of a card. You respect someone with his family’s lineage and history. Tonight, he will look to teach another lesson of respect in the ring – as he has his second match for NXT 2.0.
Tony D’Angelo Takes Ru Feng Down
Coming to the ring with his fedora and velour tracksuit, the Capitol Wrestling Center went wild for Tony D’Angelo! He’s become a fast fan favorite, a favorite of NXT 2.0. Ru Feng would be his opponent, and he might regret picking this as a debut match.
D’Angelo would take him down and flaunt his amatuer skills before applying a side headlock. Feng would get free briefly and kick D’Angelo in the face. A running back elbow would drop Feng, before being crushed with a northern lights suplex into a fisherman’s neckbreaker, and this one was over.
D’Angelo would be asked what happened to the producer of Lashing Out after the match, and well – he had nothing to do with that. Maybe we should all just forget about it. Could be the safer option, I mean did Lashing Out even have a producer?
Legado Del Fantasma Are Unhinged
We’d be set for a tag team match between Josh Briggs & Brook Jensen – stemming from Briggs & Jensen trying to save Trey Baxter earlier in the show. Legado Del Fantasma beat both of them down with steel chairs, and hit the ring alone. They’re done playing games, after Lopez was rolled up by Cora Jade and Escobar was robbed by Carmelo Hayes last week.
Coming back from the break, Briggs & Jensen pulled themselves up for the match. They have a size edge, but are sore after the chair shots. Briggs would plant Joaquin Wilde with a side slam and hit a standing splash. Escobar ran a distraction, and Briggs would be taken down. Mendoza & Wilde made quick tags, and got a near fall off a big splash.
Jensen would get a tag, and he’d hit some crushing lariats and a flapjack, before hitting a massive powerslam. Again Escobar would run a distraction, and Jensen ran him down this time. Legado Del Fantasma would take advantage, setting up their finisher with expert precision, nailing the Russian Leg Sweep and running kick combo for the win.
