Video Of Andrew Garfield Mimicking Will Smith’s Notorious Slap On Chris Rock Goes Viral
Will’s actions have gone down in history as one of the most controversial moments that have ever occurred at the Oscars. This was particularly true since he walked away with the best actor award for his role in ‘King Richard.’
While Will has received mass condemnation across social media, Andrew was clearly more on the side of laughing about the whole ordeal. In the video here, we can see that Andrew is walking up to some of his friends.
He can be heard saying the words: “What the f–k are you doing?” after which he proceeds to slap them in the direction towards their faces, as he laughs.
This behaviour is counter to what the actor had shown Will during the course of the Oscars. In the picture here, we can see that Andrew has embraced Will by hugging him.
Although that may be explained by showing his praise for Will’s performance that won him an Oscar, there is no denying that Andrew did not approve of Will’s conduct. After all, he was seen texting when the incident had happened.
Andrew’s video instantly went viral with over 1.5 million views and counting on YouTube. And with that, a lot of people had something to say on the matter. A significant majority of people could not help but laugh at how Andrew had reacted to Will’s incident.
One person wrote: “Andrew Garfield texting the other Peter Parkers to see if Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in their universes too.”
While another person stated: “Andrew Garfield checking his phone like ‘This s–t just happened.’” Andrew’s behaviour was clearly in jest, but in reality, it has only shown just how abhorrent Will had acted.
And for all the remorse he may have shown, it is simply a case of too little too late. After all, there is no way of taking things back. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
