While the Depp-Heard defamation/domestic abuse double feature dominated the news, there was another celebrity trial underway that had some salacious testimonies. Mark Braddock—a former business partner of Todd Chrisley—claimed that not only did the reality star and real estate wizard cheat on his wife–he did so with him.

For those who don’t follow Todd Chrisley or have never watched Chrisley Knows Best, there have been long-running speculation that Chrisley was actually gay. It’s just one of those rumors that have always been around since his reality show aired in 2014.
Mark Braddock took the stand on Tuesday, May 24, 2021, and detailed their business and personal relationship. He claims that the two of them had a relationship in the early 2000s and were on close terms after it ended up until 2012. Braddock was also a part of Chrisley Asset Management which handled foreclosures during this period.
It was also during this time that he received a blackmail text from an unknown person who was threatening to not only put their affair in the air but also their alleged fraudulent practices. According to Braddock one text simply said “Pay cash and we’ll shut up.” He claimed that he made four $9,500 from his bank and gave it to Todd Chrisley to cover the blackmail attempt.
Chrisley’s legal team made sure to let it be known that Mark Braddock had an obsession with Chrisley and stuck to this point during cross-examination.
Todd Chrisley has been married to his wife Julie for 25 years now and even addressed the rumors of him being gay. During a May 2020 interview with People, Chrisley stated:
“My wife certainly is flattered that as many men want her husband as there are women. With that being said, I’m never going to have a drought.”
