Even though the verdict given by the Jury in trial against ex-husband, Johnny Depp, states that the 59-year-old actor did not physically abuse her, Amber Heard has not given up on the fight. A preview clip released by NBC shows a sit down between Amber Heard and Savannah Guthrie on Thursday. The interview is said to be released on Friday, June 17. During the interview, Heard released notes from her therapist which she claims is fresh evidence of the physical and sexual abuse she allegedly suffered from her ex-husband.
Amber Heard Releases Details Of The Times She Was Abused By Johnny Depp
While still on trial the Judge had dismissed the therapists’ notes and branded it “hearsay ” so it could not be used as evidence for the trial. However, the 36-year-old actress made it public regardless. The binder-full notes are said to contain details of the times where Depp “hit her, threw her against the wall, and threatened to kill her” as far back as 2011 when the two started their relationship.
“There’s a binder worth of years of notes dating back to 2022 from the very beginning of my relationship that were taken by my doctor who I was reporting the abuse to,” Herrad said during the interview. Heard has already been found guilty by the Court and was accused by Depp’s legal team for her continuance in putting out public allegations against Depp even after the trial had ended.
“It’s unfortunate that the defendant and her team are back to repeating, reimagining and re-litigating matters that have already been decided by the court and a verdict that was unanimously and unequivocally decided by a jury in Johnny’s favor,” the team said.
Amber Heard Says She Loves Johnny Depp
This made the public accuse Heard of trying to seek vengeance against Depp. She then responded to the claims while speaking to Guthrie that, “one thing I can tell you is, one thing I’m not is vindictive. This would be a really lousy way to get vengeance. As silly as it is to say this out loud, my goal-the only thing I can hope for at this point… I just want people to see me as a human being”
“Yes. Absolutely. Absolutely, I love him. I loved him with all my heart and I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work. And couldn’t, I have no bad feelings or ill towards him at all,” Heard said when she was asked whether she still loved Depp. She also explained that she had not wished to make the whole issue go as public as it did and things only got out of hand when Depp started to sue her. When asked if she meant to say Depp lied on the stand about never hitting her Guthrie said, “he said he never hit you. Is that a lie?”
and Heard responded saying, “yes. It is.” When Guthrie also asked Heard about Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez’ statement that she had been performing on the stand, Heard said, “says the lawyer for the man who convinces the world he has scissors for fingers. I’m the performer? I have listened to weeks of testimony insinuating, or saying quite directly that I’m a terrible actress. So, I’m a bit confused how I could be both. She also claimed that the witnesses that were called to stand were “paid employees and rondos.”
Guthrie then asked Heard about the $3.5 million donation she said she made to the ACLU, she said she was still going to make do on her pledge but she didn’t mean to lie about giving the money. She has said earlier that she could not honor the pledge because Johnny had sued her for $50 million. She then said that she wished Johnny would stop suing her so she could pay up.
From the trial, it became clear that Amber had also physically abused Depp, when asked about it during the interview, Amber insisted that she never instigated an abuse towards Depp, that she only reacted to being abused.
“I never had to instigate it, I responded to it. when you are living in violence and it becomes normal- as testified to- you have to adapt,” she said
When asked what her plans for the future are, the mother-of-one said that she would focus on being a mother to her daughter—Oonagh Paige. She said, “I get to be a mom. Full time, without having to juggle calls from lawyers.” She however didn’t address questions about her plans to return to the screen yet.
