A few weeks back, we saw Joshi star Yuka Sakazaki return to AEW for a match with the newly heel Britt Baker. She would beat the evil dentist with a quick roll up, but Baker would get the last laugh. She would place the mouth of Yuka on the ring ropes, and break the teeth of Yuka.
According to Baker, she did Yuka a favor as those teeth would have needed to come out anyways, and she did that work for free. It was a very effective angle to help get Baker over a proper hated heel, as Yuka has been a fan favorite ever since she appeared at Fyter Fest in 2019. Needless to say, this is not something a wrestler won’t look for revenge over.
Revenge At Revolution
As the card for the upcoming AEW Revolution begins to unfold, and the massive push behind Britt Baker, it would make sense for her to have a presence at the show. Yuka also just announced she will be coming back to AEW very soon. With the angle already in place for this feud, it would be a perfect match for either the PPV itself or the preshow.
Baker is starting to get the intended reactions for her character, and a dominant victory over Yuka at Revolution would only help to solidify her as a future AEW Women’s Champion. The championship is currently help by ‘The Native Beast’ Nyla Rose, who despite being a heel has grown a large base of supporters, leading to mixed cheers and boo’s during her performances.
Will Yuka Sakazaki Join AEW Full Time?
Much like former champion Riho, Yuka Sakazaki splits her time between wrestling in AEW & wrestling in Japan for Tokyo Joshi Pro. While Riho has been a more constant presence in AEW, Yuka was more focused on her work in Japan. Despite this, fans have been wanting more and more of Yuka. She is the current Princess Of Princess Championship holder for TJP, and would likely drop that before joining on full time. Yuka would be another great full time addition to the AEW Women’s Division, which has finally gotten some steam behind it.
