NYC Man Arrested After Jacking a City Bus with a BB Gun and Crashing It
According to the NYPD report, the driver opened the doors to let passengers on. That’s when the suspect told him that he was being chased and told the driver to keep driving. Six minutes later, the driver bailed out of the window and the carjacker took control of the wheel.
The bus would make it a block—with around 20 riders–before the suspect crashed it into a utility pole. After a brief foot chase, he was arrested by the NYPD. As a side note, the crash itself knocked out the power in the immediate area for three hours.
When Gaddy was checked for a weapon, authorities turned up a BB gun. He and the bus driver received treatment for their injuries after the arrest. Daddy was charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawful imprisonment, and reckless endangerment.
His bond stands at $500,000.
