Aussie Open is watching the final two matches of the night very closely. Earlier in the show, they defeated a set of Young Lions – originally set to face Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens tonight. They have a path to the finals however, having 14 points tonight – but they need things to work out in the right way for them. Losses for Los Ingobernables De Japon or TMDK is all they need, and that might happen here. Tetsuya Naito & SANADA are going up against old friends turned bitter enemies in EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi. EVIL & SANADA once won World Tag League together, and tonight – EVIL could turn out the lights on SANADA’s chances to make it to the Tokyo Dome.
Tetsuya Naito & SANADA Must Win To Make The Finals
House of Torture would attack while Naito was still getting undressed for the match, to the surprise of no one. SANADA would be kept in the ring by EVIL, and was able to quickly catch EVIL in the Paradise Lock. Yujiro would be targeted next, being hit with a Wishbone Leg Snap in the middle of the ring. SANADA would free EVIL with a dropkick to the arse, before Naito would attack the arm.
EVIL would gain an advantage over SANADA by raking the eyes, before sending him off into a corner that was exposed by Dick Togo. Out to the floor, SANADA would be driven into the barricade right infront of the Timekeepers Table, and when he got up – he’d be driven in a second time. Aussie Open were at ringside, and would help get the table get set back up.
Back in the ring, Yujiro would hit some stomps before dragging SANADA to the corner and driving him head first into exposed steel. EVIL would ask SANADA to bring some strikes, only to drop him with a bodyslam. SANADA would get a chance for a tag after a backdrop, and Naito hit the ring for the Combinación de Cabrón.
Double Leg Nelson would be applied in the middle of the ring, with EVIL able to get his foot on the bottom rope. Togo would trip Naito up, allowing Takahashi & EVIL to stomp him. SANADA got the tag, and was able to hit a dropkick on Takahashi before avoiding a Fisherman Buster – only to be hit with a flapjack onto the top rope.
House of Torture Help Aussie Open Make The Finals
EVIL would take Naito off the apron and attempted to double team SANADA, only to be sent from the ring as SANADA hit the Magic Screw on Takahashi. Skull End would be applied, and the lights would go out in the arena. When they came back on, SANADA was down and so was the referee. SHO hit the ring and it was a four man stomp on SANADA.
Pimp Juice would follow, but SANADA was able to kick out at two. Big Juice would be blocked as Naito hit the ring with a basement dropkick, before a Swinging DDT to EVIL. Takahashi was sandwiched with dropkicks, before the TKO would land – causing EVIL to break the pinfall up.
Skull End was applied, but Dick Togo ran a distraction on the apron – causing the referee to miss Takahashi tapping out. SANADA blocked a cane shot, and the following Low Blow, only to fall to one from SHO. EVIL dropped Naito with the STO, and Big Juice to SANADA would end the match.
Aussie Open now advances to the finals, and will face either TMDK or Bishamon on December 14th. House of Torture finish at 6 points, a far cry from their run into the finals in 2021. Will House of Torture be in World Tag League 2023? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
