Regional Police Arrest Five Drug Traffickers in Ontario and Seize Almost $67K in Drugs
According to the Niagara Regional Police, 609.9 grams of fentanyl, 27.9 grams of cocaine, and 2.2 grams of meth were seized during the search. Normally in these drug seizures, we see cash and possibly even weapons taken by the police. The Regional Police found $580 in cash—an amount that doesn’t really raise alarms—as well as a prohibited knife and 30 rounds of shotgun ammo. No shotgun was found at the residence.
In total, the drugs have an estimated street value of $66,720. The five suspects were charged with several drug offenses and a weapons offense. Details on the suspects and what they were charged with specifically were released by the Regional Police.
While the investigation turned up some suspects and a healthy seizure, it’s expected that the investigation will continue as another group of drug traffickers could move into the Niagara Falls area.
