Ex-NFL cornerback Vontae Davis was involved in an awful looking car crash on February 4, 2023 and photos from the crash show the former Miami Dolphins player either unconscious or sleep near the wreckage.
Car Crash Scene Photos Show Former NFL Player Vontae Davis Apparently Sleep or Unconscious on the Pavement
The crash occurred in Broward County, Florida that morning when Davis, accused of drunk driving, slammed his Tesla into the rear of a truck. The pictures were taken after the crash and show Davis in full outfit simply laying there as if he were napping on the couch. Not only did he appear to be sleep, he seemed to be sleeping soundly.
According to a witness on the scene, Davis didn’t wake up while emergency workers did their job. It seems like a strange scene where everyone works around the person who caused the accident in the first place. Davis only woke up when the police bundled him into a police cruiser. He appeared to be sleepy during questioning as well.
When things had gone far enough with dealing with Davis, the investigator told him what the deal was—that he couldn’t stay awake, he appeared to be drunk, and that he almost killed someone with his recklessness. The former pro told authorities that he had two mixed drinks before driving but couldn’t remember the crash itself.
Vontae Davis pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
