An officer took a victim report and a warrant was issued for Clarke’s arrest. In the report, the 23-year-old woman claims that the meteorologist showed up at the restaurant she works at constantly.
While it doesn’t seem particularly concerning on its own, her claim that he requested her table each time and simply stayed for hours cranks up the dial a bit. She added that Clarke also showed up at her apartment complex and would hang in the parking lot.
The victim said that they didn’t know each other personally. According to the report, their familiarity with each other—as far as the victim believed initially—stopped at server-customer.
In Alabama, second-degree stalking is classified as a Class B misdemeanor. The charge comes with a maximum of six months and a fine of $3,000 if convicted.
